Once a season we lay a single long table and keep sixteen seats for readers. A set dinner with wine, at a house we rate, with the stories behind the places and the plates told between the courses. The first one is in Athens.
A good dinner is not a performance. It is a conversation with the food in front of you, and the people either side.
VANE spends its days reading rooms and tables across the Mediterranean. Once a season we do the opposite of a screen, and put a real table between us. One evening, one house we already stand behind, one long table for sixteen. A set menu built with the kitchen, wine chosen to sit beside it, and Dimitris hosting: short readings between the courses, the same register as the pages you already know.
No stage, no logos on the wall, no phones-first theatre. You come for the food, the wine, and the talk, and you leave with the printed menu as a keepsake. The address goes to confirmed guests. It is a house in the centre of Athens that we rate, and that is the point of trusting the name on the door.
Leave your email and we will write to you the moment seats open, before we announce it anywhere else. No spam, just the table.
