Two private walks through the real Athens, led by food & travel journalist Dimitris Stathopoulos. Net rates for the trade, easy to book, easy to sell.
A private food walk off the tourist track: the hidden squares of Psyrri, the Varvakios central market, century-old shops and small tavernas where locals actually eat. Ten tastings, Greek wine and coffee along the way, and the stories behind the food, told by a working food journalist.
A private walk that gives clients the whole city in one morning: the great landmarks and the neighbourhoods that connect them, woven together with real food stops along the way. They leave with a clear, confident picture of Athens and its most important sights, plus a taste of how the city actually eats.
We take in the major highlights on foot — the Acropolis and Areopagus, Plaka and Anafiotika, Monastiraki and the Roman Agora, Ermou and Syntagma with the changing of the guard at Parliament — and stop for tastings between them. Note: this is a walking and tasting experience; it does not include entry inside the archaeological sites, so there is no queuing or ticketing. It is the ideal first day: orientation, atmosphere and flavour, so clients then explore the rest with their bearings.
